Lahore 1947 is an upcoming Hindi-language period action film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. Set against the backdrop of the 1947 partition of India, the narrative follows a Muslim family migrating from Lucknow to Lahore. Upon their arrival, they are allocated a haveli (mansion) vacated by a Hindu family fleeing due to the partition. The story intensifies when the family discovers an elderly Hindu woman still residing in the haveli, leading to complex emotional dynamics and rising tensions as they navigate their new reality amidst one of the most tumultuous periods in Indian history.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi, and Ali Fazal. Notably, it marks Preity Zinta’s return to the screen after a seven-year hiatus. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with cinematography by Santosh Sivan. Production commenced in February 2024 and concluded by August 2024. Initially slated for a January 26, 2025 release, the film’s release has been postponed to June 2025 to accommodate extensive post-production work.
